For Prem (Shashi Kapoor) and his family, their home was like a temple, built
on the foundations of love and sacrifice. His family was made up of his wife
Laxmi (Moushumi Chatterjee), his brothers Vijay (Raj Kiran) and Ravi (Mithun),
his children Krishna and Sujata, and his friend Rahim (Suresh Oberoi).Prem and
Rahim, were colleagues in a factory owned by Sheth Dharamdas, who ran his
factory like a slave shop with the help of his strongman Shera.
