Double bill of horrors in which a young girl is plagued by an unknown disease.
In 'Contracted: Phase 1' (2013), after being drugged at a friend's party,
waitress Samantha (Najarra Townsend) develops horrifying symptoms she
attributes to a one-night stand. But as her condition worsens and she
perpetually mystifies doctors who demand she remain in quarantine, Samantha,
along with her mother (Caroline Williams) and best friend Alice (Alice
Macdonald), begins to wonder just what it is she has contracted... The sequel,
'Contracted: Phase 2' (2015), follows Riley (Matt Mercer) as he tries to find
a solution to the unknown virus that took over Samantha and now infects him.
After her death, Riley recalls the events of her rapid decline to LAPD
Detective Crystal Young (Marianna Palka) but also finds himself being watched
by the spectral original host of the virus, BJ (Morgan Peter Brown).
