Synopsis: Zubeidaa - The story of a princess Zubeidaa is the story of a young
mans Riyaz'a (Rajit Kapur) quest to recover the memory of his mother Zubeidaa,
a mother who he never knew and to piece together her life from the memories of
those who knew her. Extremely beautiful & talented, Zubeidaa (Karishma Kapoor)
is the only daughter of Suleman Seth (Amrish Puri), a film producer in Bombay.
Unfortunately Zubeidaa's happiness more often than not falls victim to her
father's unjustifies domination over her life. This includes cutting short her
burning ambition of becoming an actress and forcibily marrying her off to a
boy she barely knows. Sulema Seth's ego and obstinacy continues to make
Zubeidaa's life and marriage miserable. Behind every dark cloud is a silver
lining, and Zubeidaa's life changes when Maharaja Vijayendra Singh (Manoj
Bajpai) enters it, bringing with him hope, romance and ultimately love.
Vijayendra Singh is already married to Mandira Devi (Rekha), a match between
royal families that was prompted by motivations other than love. Vijayendra
and Zubeidaa fall head over heels in love but the path of true love is not
